LAZAROUS CHONGO OR JIFAN'S LIFE'S SEVEN CORE VALUES

MISSIONS - EVERYONE CAN BE INVOLVED

MISSIONS:

(Some biblical accounts of God's mission: Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:15-18, Luke 24:44-49 & John 20:19-23. remember that the Bible is all about God's mission from Genesis to Revelation)

🌐GOD'S DESIRE IS THAT EVERYONE ON EARTH HEAR ABOUT JESUS THATS WHY "Jesus Is For All Nations - JIFAN" JOHN 3:16

ON EARTH TODAY WE HAVE THREE PEOPLE GROUPS

πŸ‘‰(1) THOSE WHO CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS BECAUSE THEY CALLED UPON THE NAME OF JESUS

πŸ‘‰(2) THOSE HAVE HEARD ABOUT JESUS BUT REFUSED TO FOLLOW HIM OR NOT YET HELPED TO CALL UPON HIM

πŸ‘‰(3) THOSE HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT JESUS BECAUSE NOBODY PREACHED JESUS TO THEM

Matthew 28:18-20 "WHEN SOMEONE IS DYING OR LEAVING US, HIS OR HER LAST WORDS ARE VERY IMPORTANT. JESUS LEFT THE DISCIPLES WITH THESE LAST INSTRUCTION: THEY WERE UNDER HIS POWER AND AUTHORITY; THEY WERE TO MAKE MORE JESUS' DISCIPLES; THEY WERE TO BAPTIZE AND TEACH THESE NEW DISCIPLES TO OBEY JESUS; JESUS WOULD BE WITH THEM ALWAYS. WHEREAS IN PREVIOUS MISSION JESUS HAD SENT HIS DISCIPLES ONLY TO THE JEWS, THIER MISSION FROM NOW ON WOULD BE WORLDWIDE. JESUS IS LORD OF THE EARTH, AND HE DIED FOR THE SINS OF PEOPLE FROM ALL NATIONS. (JIFAN - Jesus Is For All Nations). WE ARE TO GO WHETHER IT IS NEXT DOOR OR ANOTHER COUNTRY AND MAKE JESUS' DISCIPLES. GOING TO EVERY VILLAGE, TOWN, CITY AND COUNTRY MAKING DISCIPLES, IT IS NOT AN OPTION BUT A COMMAND TO ALL WHO CALL JESUS THIER LORD. WE ARE NOT ALL EVANGELISTS OR MISSIONARIES OR TEACHERS OR PASTORS ETC IN FORMAL SENSE, BUT WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED GIFTS AND TALENTS THAT WE CAN USE TO HELP FULFILL GOD'S MISSION. AS WE OBEY, WE HAVE COMFORT IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS IS ALWAYS WITH US

BE INVOLVED

PLEASE BE INVOLVED INTO THIS GOD'S MISSION AND YOU CAN BE INVOLVED THROUGH

πŸ‘‰PRAYING (MATTHEW 9:37-38)

πŸ‘‰GOING (MATTHEW 28:19)

πŸ‘‰MOBILIZING OTHERS TO BE INVOLVED (2 TIMOTHY 2:2)

πŸ‘‰SENDING AND SUPPORTING WORKERS (ROMANS 10:15)

πŸ‘‰GIVING TO WORKERS AND MINISTRIES RUNNING BY THEM (Matthew 6:21)

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT "IN THE PAST GOD USED SOMEONE TO BRING JESUS TO YOU. SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HELP JESUS TO GO TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT HIM?" BE WILLING TO PUT YOUR YES ON THE TABLE TO GOD'S CALLING UPON YOUR LIFE.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY - NUMBERS 6:24-26

EVERYONE CAN BE INVOLVED INTO GOD'S MISSIONS

TEN Things Everyone can do for World Missions

by Steven K. Haught, EJournal
God has never worried that the spreading of His gospel would be hampered by lack of interest. It has never happened and it never will. We should never doubt that. There will always be those of us who take up the call and give of ourselves completely to work full-time in missions, anywhere God calls us to serve.
But there does seem to be "sticking points" which keep the task of world evangelization from being completed, or at the very least as effective as it could be. Don’t forget, every generation is responsible for meeting the challenges of The Great Commission. Key among these “sticking points”, appears to be the lack of involvement on the part of the people of the Church. It doesn’t appear to be not for a lack of interest or desire.
Many people have said, "We're interested in world evangelization. What can we do?" If you have experienced similar feelings or maybe your church seems to lack the enthusiasm for missions, maybe the following 10-step program for getting involved in world missions can help.
If we all widely promoted this program and challenged uninvolved Christians to adopt it, we would see a radical change in the nature of world missions in just a few years. The potential impact could be enormous!

1. READ THROUGH THE BIBLE WITH A MISSIONS VIEWPOINT. Search out the Scriptures where God told us to be a blessing to the nations. Examine each passage from the light of our command to spread the gospel. Take notes on your thoughts on each chapter. Ask your church leaders and your close friends for their thoughts as well.

2. TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN ABOUT THE MISSIONS EXPERIENCE. Attend a weekend Missions event at your church or a nearby church if your church does not yet have a “world missions” program. Read a new biography of a missionary every 3 to 6 months. Begin building a library of books that deal with the real lives of missionaries and the problems and victories of missions. Look for videos that highlight mission events.

3. DEVELOP FRIENDSHIPS WITH MISSIONARIES. Go to the special meetings your church calls for missionaries passing through. Invite missionaries into your home and ask them about their lives and experiences. Take up a "pen-pal" relationship with missionaries: writing them, encouraging them. Commend missionaries to other people you know.

4. BECOME ESPECIALLY FAMILIAR WITH THE WORLD. You don't have to be an expert, but you can learn some basic things which will help you better understand the regions and peoples of planet earth. Take the time to memorize the names of the countries. Learn their locations, their relative sizes, religious compositions, significant barriers to the Gospel, key prayer points. Keep a list on paper of at least one key ministry in each country. Examine your newspaper for news items on these countries. Know what’s going on in countries everywhere around the globe.

5. PRAY DAILY FOR WORLD EVANGELIZATION. Using all of this information, include the countries you’ve researched in your daily prayers. Build a personal prayer guide, call it "Operation World Evangelism." And especially important: have a daily devotional time with your family which includes prayer for World Evangelism. Search the internet for what’s going on in World missions. Visit internet web-sites like www.globalmissionsnetwork.info to see God’s great work going on around the globe.

6. TAKE AT LEAST ONE SHORT-TERM TRIP. Make a commitment to take at least one short-term missions trip to that part of the world that interests you. For example, consider prayer walks, Bible courier trips or medical assistance trips. Pick a trip where you will be of the most help with the least possible imposition on missionaries in country. Bring your secular skills and training along with your love for God and you will be a blessing to the mission!

7. GET INVOLVED WITH YOUR CHURCH'S MISSION COMMITTEE. If your church doesn't have a mission committee, then ask for permission to form one. Offer to serve on the committee, or offer to help in some way. Support the mission committee by commending their efforts, supplying them with information, and helping to publicize the mission efforts of the church. Encourage them to consider every aspect of world mission-- both cross- cultural and the support of indigenous missions.

8. LEARN WHAT YOUR CHURCH MISSION BOARDS ARE DOING. Get on as many mission board's mailing lists as you can find--nearly all mission boards have a publication, but not all churches or members automatically receive it. Find out what sort of opportunities are offered through the mission. Promote opportunities and events of many missions at your church. Encourage other church members to learn about the foreign missions supported by your church.

9. RECRUIT SOMEONE EVERY MONTH TO MISSIONS AWARENESS. Make a point of meeting with one fellow Christian every month and introducing them to the great task of world evangelism. Share with them what you are doing and want to do for missions. Encourage them to become involved with you. Enthusiasm is contagious!

10. ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILDREN TO CONSIDER MISSIONS AS A CAREER. Often we think of missions as a "second-rate" career--one with little opportunity for advancement. In reality it is the most important thing we can possibly do. It is the command Christ left us with. We must do everything we can to encourage and support our children's exploration of missions as a potential long-term career, and especially encourage them to at least take a few shortterm trips.
With more than 60% of the worldwide Body of Christ completely uninvolved in evangelism and missions in any way, we need to be serious about recruiting--especially our youth--into active participation. Promoting these ideas or similar ideas through our own lives and to our circle of friends will make all the difference in reaching more of the world and more of its people with the live-giving message of the gospel. Remember, you have to Engage the World, to Change the World!

BE INVOLVED INTO THE GREAT COMMISSION

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

🌺THEME: THE DEFINITION OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE!

🌸DATE: 21-05-15

🌺VERSE: Matthew 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses it's saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

🌺FROM THE VERSE: The church exists for the world's sake more than for its own. Christ's disciples are to be saviors of others. God's people are chosen, not for their own comfort, but to show men beauty of the Divine life, and to raise them to the same level. It is QUALITY MORE THAN QUANTITY that does God's work in the world. All history and progress are at bottom the life-history of the few. It should be one great object of our prayer and effort to keep up the moral and spiritual standard of the chosen few. We sweeten the world, purify, and enrichen its work, its thoughts, its social intercourse, its joys; and we seek to prevent corruption to its laws and literature. The godly must nourish the earth spiritually as the salt is intended to nourish the food. The salt has also a consuming power; something sharp, biting, and aggressive in it. Salt laid on a wound is painful and Christian often pains men to heal them. The moral influence of the Christian, applies to the church in its collective capacity. Christian character is composed of faith and works in union. Faith without works kills; and works without faith are destitute of merit to save the soul. When faith and works are united, they give life and efficiency to Christian character. Christian character is the antidote of vice in the individual and in society. Christian character enables the soul to digest and profit by the various dispensations of providence; and sweetens life's disappointments, and changes its crosses into crowns. Our doctrine must be very sound and good. We have to save the world from universal vice and crime by our influence and example. The doctrine of the gospel is as salt; penetrating, quick, and powerful; it reaches the heart; and it cleanses. Let's show the "flavor" of God's grace; and promote a thirst for SALVATION. Men have nothing in them but what is tasteless, till they have been seasoned with the salt of heavenly doctrine. A DISCIPLE of the KINGDOM who does not live like a disciple of the KINGDOM is worth about as much as tasteless salt.

πŸŒΈπŸ™Pray inline with the verse and from your discoveries that we may salt our communities/neighbors/families/nations/countries by coming into contact with them as salt which works when it is in close contact with the thing it is to work upon. Pray that we may work silently, inconspicuously, and gradually like salt. ABOVE all; pray that as Christians, we may not lose our TASTE.

🌺We don't salt a living thing; therefore our communities are dead and they need preservation from decaying.

πŸŒΈπŸ˜„WITHOUT SALT, HUMAN LIFE CANT BE SUSTAINED. REAL SALT DOES NOT LOSE ITS SALTINESS.

🌴THEME: LAYING UP TREASURES IN HEAVEN

🌴DATE: 23-05-15

🌴VERSE: Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV): 19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

🌴FROM THE VERSE: This verse is such a great reminder to us every day. We must not put our hope in the things of this world. Whether it is money, the latest new trend, or even necessary resources. We must remember that as God's children this is not our home. If we store up treasures for ourselves here they WILL be destroyed. However, when we forsake these things and chose to follow Christ we store up treasures in Heaven! Our greatest treasure is intimate relationship with Christ himself and no rust can destroy that an no thieve can ever steal that from us! Verse 21 is really interesting though as it says "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." The order is important. When we choose to discipline ourselves in our walks with the Lord we are choosing to make him our treasure. Scripture tells us that where we place our treasure that our heart will follow. When we daily choose Christ we can trust that we will grow in love or Him as well. Let us treasure Christ together and wait in eager anticipation for the day we can be with him in perfection.

πŸŒ΄πŸ™PRAY: Thank God for treasuring you so that you may know how to treasure and love Him. Ask him to help you to be disciplined in your relationship with Him. Ask that God would help each one of us to let go of the temporary things that we treasure on this earth that distract us from Him. Pray that He will teach us how to treasure him more each day so that we can fall more in love with Him!

πŸŒ΄πŸ˜ƒπŸŒ΄πŸ˜€πŸŒ΄πŸ˜„CHRIST IS THE ULTIMATE TREASURE! HE IS BETTER THAN ANY EARTHLY TREASURE YOU COULD THINK OF!
