Why Sport?


Ø  Sport allows the church to touch the people who are otherwise untouched or unreached
Ø  Sport transcends economic, race, gender, political, and religion barrier
Ø  Sport  gives some opportunities to hear God’s call on their lives for full time services
Ø  Sport is enjoyed by people of all ages and different skill and competitive level
Ø  Sport provides a place for leadership development
Ø  Sport creates fellowship as well as a relational bridge to form friendships with the unsaved
Ø  Sport is not simply a tool for God to use but a wonderful way in which we can glorify God through our gifts and talents
Ø  Sport can keep people from drifting away from the church
Ø  Sport is a gateway for evangelism from Jerusalem to the outermost part (church planting and - church growth too)
Ø  Sport creates an entry level of service for the new believer or the new member
Ø  Sport contributes to the mission of the church
Ø  Sport is a bridge that brings people together for a common goal
Ø  Sport contributes to body health life
Ø  Sport can assist or service other ministries of the church
Ø  Sport gives a gospel platform for the athlete or coach
Ø  Sport also provides people with a common experience and a sense of belonging to a community
Ø  Sport has life applications and challenges and for that it is an environment for whole life discipleship and discipleship is the key to spiritual and physical development
Ø  Sport can contribute to Physical ,Intellectual, Emotional, Social and Spiritual Growth
Ø  Sport is a Spiritual laboratory where Spiritual Growth and maturity can be measured
Ø  Spiritual processes are all engaged when playing a sport.
Ø  Sport creates jobs and other survival opportunities
Ø  Sport is a universal language that builds bridges and tears down barriers
Ø  Sport is a cultural Phenomenon providing unique access to people
Ø  Sport provides means to assimilate into the church
Ø  Sport creates a platform for discipleship
Ø  Sport provides  a vehicle for evangelism
